Since 2018 jonasersland.net has served as a collective photo booth. With your own webcam you're invited to upload a snapshot which will remain on the front page until the next visitor uploads a new one. Through hundreds of uploaded selfies the collection gives a glimpse of how much strangers on the internet have in common - some more than others. Dot Com Companions is an ongoing photo series providing relief for everyone who's ever felt alone on the internet.
The first installment of Dot Com Companions took place at Logic, Logistics, Architecture in Oslo, and was accompanied by a riso printed poster of all the images uploaded so far. More installments are coming in the future as the collection grows.
